You might receive a connection status message of CHALLENGED if your financial institution is requiring additional information to connect your account. They do this because they want to make sure your information is secure.

Some financial institutions utilize multi-factor authentication (MFA), often in the form of a security question or an access code sent to an email address or phone number.

An MFA prompt may need to be answered multiple times before the financial institution trusts the connection, or you may need to answer multiple questions. Some institutions will prompt for MFA upon updates. 

Resolution steps

  1. Complete all MFA prompts. You may need to complete the same MFA prompts multiple times.
  2. If the software continues to deny the MFA, submit a support request
