Editing Transactions - Mobile Updated January 05, 2022 17:26 In the mobile app, you can edit transactions and update its details including the following: Changing the payee name Changing the transaction category Changing the transaction date Adding or changing a memo Adding or updating tags Editing a transaction On the mobile app Dashboard, scroll to the Transactions panel and either tap one of the three most recent transactions or tap View All Transactions, then select the one you want to edit. On the transaction detail screen, make your desired changes. Changing the payee name On the transaction detail screen, tap the payee name at the top of the transaction detail screen. Type a new payee name in the field, then click Save. Changing the transaction category On the transaction detail screen, tap Category. In the Choose a Category menu, either search for a category or scroll through the list to find the right one. Tap the plus sign to the right of a top-level category to see sub-categories. Tap the category name to select it. When you choose a new category, you will get a Category Rule notification. Choose whether you want this change for This Time Only, or Apply to All transactions with the same payee. Category RulesWhen you manually change a category on a transaction, the app will offer to automatically make that change on all similar transactions. You can manage Category Rules from Settings. Changing the transaction date On the transaction detail screen, tap Date. On the calendar, tap to select the month and day you want to change the transaction to. Tap Apply. Adding or changing a memo On the transaction detail screen, tap Memo. Type your memo in the field, then tap Save. Adding or updating tags On the transaction detail screen, tap Tags. Tap Add a tag to enter a new tag, or select an existing tag from the list. You can also tap Edit tags if you want to remove or change existing tags. Tap Apply.
