Using Budgets: Editing, Deleting, and Adding Sub-Budgets - Mobile Updated July 11, 2022 19:11 Viewing a budget category To open Budgets, from the mobile app dashboard, scroll down to the Budget panel and tap it. From the main Budgets screen, tap any budget bubble to display more details.The category bubble will show details about that budget category. Below, you’ll see a bar graph with your monthly spending in that category over the last year, along with a dotted line indicating how much you budgeted. Tap any bar to bring up the budget details for that month. You can also tap View Transactions to bring up a list of transactions in the budget category for the selected month. Editing a budget On the budget screen, tap a category bubble. Tap the edit icon attached to the category bubble. Drag around the outside of the bubble to increase or decrease the budget. Alternatively, you can tap Budgeted Amount at the bottom to enter a specific number. The 3 Month Average of your spending in each category, listed above the budget bubble, can guide you in choosing an appropriate budget. Deleting a budget On the budget screen, tap a category bubble. Tap the edit icon attached to the category bubble. Tap Delete [Category] Budget at the bottom of the screen. Tap Delete to confirm or Cancel if you’ve changed your mind. If you want your planning to be more specific, you can add budgets for existing subcategories or for categories you create yourself. Creating a sub-budget On the budget screen, tap a category bubble. Tap the add icon attached to the category bubble. Select the subcategory for which you’d like to add a budget. If the subcategory doesn’t exist, create one by tapping Add New Subcategory and typing a name.Once you’ve created a sub-budget, it will appear connected to its main budget in the details window.
