Flagging, Hiding, and Splitting Transactions - Mobile

Flagging, hiding, and splitting can all be done from the transaction details screen. To get to transaction details:

  1. From the Dashboard, scroll to the Transactions panel.
  2. Either tap one of the listed transactions, or tap View All Transactions.

Flagging a transaction

Flagging allows you to mark a transaction as important. It doesn’t alert anyone except you about the transaction.

  1. On the transactions screen, tap a transaction to open the details screen.

  2. Tap the flag icon at the top, near the transaction amount. It will turn yellow to indicate that it is flagged.

  3. To unflag the transaction, tap the icon again.

Hiding a transaction

Hiding a transaction will tell other features like Budgets and Net Worth to ignore it. It won’t be deleted, and the transaction can be unhidden later.

  1. On the transactions screen, tap a transaction to open the details screen.

  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Hide Transaction.

  3. In the dialogue that appears, tap Hide to confirm, or Cancel.

  4. To unhide, tap Unhide Transaction.

Splitting a transaction

Splitting a transaction lets you put part of it in one category and part in another, like a Costco transaction that you split into “Groceries” for the food portion and “Electronics” for that TV you bought.

  1. On the transactions screen, tap a transaction to open the details window.

  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Split Transaction.

  3. To split it into more than two, select Add another split.

  4. Tap Category to select a category for each part of the split.

  5. Enter an amount for each part of the split.

  6. Tap Save.

  7. Return to the transactions screen and tap the transaction. Each split will appear as it's own categorized transaction.
