Finsmart

The goal of a FinSmart campaign is to reduce the amount of work needed to get an effective message in front of a highly-valuable audience of users. FinSmart campaigns are continuous campaigns.

There are currently two FinSmart campaigns, both targeted at users who could benefit from a credit card with a reduced interest rate: The net-new credit card campaign and the credit card balance transfer campaign.

Only admins can launch or schedule FinSmart campaigns.

  • The net new credit card campaign will be displayed to users that meet the following criteria:

    • The user has an aggregated external credit card;
    • The user does not have a credit card with your financial institution;
    • The user has a finance charge transaction which indicates the user carries a balance on the external card;
    • The interest rate of the external card is greater than the advertised card.

    To create a net-new credit card campaign:

    1. In Marketing Hub, select Finsmart offers from the left navigation.
    2. Click Net New Credit Card Offer.
    3. Enter the following information:
      • Product name: the name of advertised credit card, e.g., “Visa Signature Rewards Card”;
      • Link URL: the destination where we send the user to when they click the ad;
      • Interest rate: the interest rate of the advertised card;
      • Interest rate type: fixed or variable;
      • Call-to-action text: this is the text for the button on the ad; options include "Apply Now", "Learn More", and "Get Started";
      • Disclosure: this field is the disclosure statement that will be shown at the bottom of the ad;
      • Disclosure URL: this link can be placed at the end of the disclosure and can take the user to an external page with additional information such as fee schedules, rewards program information, etc.;
      • Card image: the card image to be used in the ad. Must be 164x108 pixels; png, jpg and gif are accepted; max size of 150kb;
      • Campaign channel: the location where the ad will appear; current options are in the Accounts widget, a Spending mini widget, or within a Helios-based app;
      • Opt-out URL: use this field to link users to any processes your organization has for opting out of future advertising or messaging;
      • Bonus text: you can use this field to offer users an additional incentive beyond the savings specified automatically by all FinSmart campaigns.

    To launch a net-new card campaign:

    1. On the Finsmart offers page, toggle the Net New Credit Card Offer to ON.

    2. Alternatively, click the Action menu icon on the right of the campaign card, then click Edit Settings and then Launch.

  • The credit card balance transfer campaign will be displayed to users that meet the following criteria:

    • The user has an aggregated external credit card and an internal credit card;
    • The user has a finance charge transaction which indicates the user carries a balance on the external card;
    • The internal credit card’s interest rate is low enough that transferring all or part of the external balance would yield a savings of at least $100 per year;
    • The available balance of the internal card is large enough that transferring all or part of the external balance would yield a savings of at least $100 per year.

    To create a credit card balance transfer campaign:

    1. In Marketing Hub, select Finsmart offers from the left navigation.
    2. Click on Capture Balances.
    3. Enter the following information:
      • Name this Campaign: the name of advertised credit card, e.g., “Visa Signature Rewards Card”;
      • Link URL: the destination where we send the user to when they click the ad;
      • Call-to-action text: this is the text for the button on the ad; options include "Apply Now", "Learn More", and "Get Started";
      • Disclosure: this field is the disclosure statement that will be shown at the bottom of the ad;
      • Disclosure URL: this link can be placed at the end of the disclosure and can take the user to an external page with additional information such as fee schedules, rewards program information, etc.;
